Rabies
Sunday, March 8th, 2009Hydrophobia is more commonly known as rabies and is caused due to inflammation of brain. It is a dangerous disease if left untreated and affects warm blooded animals only. The patient in early stages suffers from headache, ill feeling, fever and at later stages phobia towards water. At extreme stages of the disease, the person suffers from acute pain, uncontrolled excitements, depression, mania, lethargy and coma. People can even die due to inability to breath. Almost every case related to the disease has led to deaths. But after Louis Pasteur developed the much needed vaccine, medications are available which help in preventing the disease successfully.
